The Halo Story

Quote of the Week

Quote of the Week

You might be wondering what the little quote in the right of the site is. I've decided to include this nice little feature in an attempt to familiarize the fans a bit more with the Halo story and the Halo universe. Every week, we'll scour through the Halo novels, transcripts, terminals and other text-based Halo media to bring you a nice rhyme (or at least a nice sentence) on the frontpage. To be completely fair, we'll also tell you where you can find the quote on this page. If you have a suggestion for an interesting Halo quote, please email us at halostory@bungie.org and maybe we'll put it up.

Quote of the Week Listing

July 20, 2008 - July 27, 2008

"My sorrow and anger precede me with regard to the atrocity and heresy at Halo. We shall avenge this destruction with some of our own. Work proceeds apace on our battle plan. The Sangheili will do what is asked of them, and the Jiralhanae will show the humans what our strength looks like at close quarters." - Conversations from the Universe booklet. The Prophet of Truth's letter to the Prophet of Mercy.

July 15, 2008 - July, 20, 2008

"We have come to a place far from home / Time long passed since we have seen the sun rise / A place where peace can finally come / A place where we can rest and laugh and sing and love once more." - Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, page 379. Excerpt from "A Soldier's Tale: Rainforest Wars", a classic military novel read by CPO Franklin Mendez.
