"He took Linda's body double time to a cryo chamber and immediately froze her. She was clinically dead--there was no doubt of that. Still, if they could get her to a fleet hospital they may be able to resuscitate her. It was a long shot--but she was a Spartan."
The fall of Reach: page 329 lines 5-9

The Chief took Linda to a cryo chamber after her death. However, when in The Pillar of Autumn we visit the control room we see three Elites:
"Looks like the Covenant wanted to catch you napping" - Cortana

Obviously searching for you... knowing where you had been sleeping. Notice that there is a small monitor on the control panel showing a representation of the Chief. All well and good, now move to the room behind the control room for Cryo A, Cryo B. Again we see a representation of the Chief. Or is this Linda? Strange it seems that the windows here are blocked yet the control panel is active. Is this where Linda rests? Or just a glitch. If Bungie didn't want us to see this, why leave the door open?
Later we see the same room (Cryo B) in The Maw we see the same screen yet the all the tubes are empty. This maybe dismissing this theory itself (no Spartan but still an image on the screen), [but] remember that we had left the Chief's tube and left an image. Also the Bungie staff locked the door to Cryo A's control room. Looks like someone's leaving a clue.

This is the kind of speculation that we thrive on, here at the Halo Story Page. In-game details, cross-referenced to external sources (TFoR). When you find details like that in the game, you can bet that they were put there for a reason. ;-)

Was Linda in Cryo A the whole time? Was she still in there at the end of The Maw? Or did someone remove her?
